Supporting union access to employment, promoting compliance with existing agreements and supporting the development of new collective agreements as an integral part of Fair Work First. This will enable everyone to support public procurement, state support and economic development, in order to promote tariff security as much as possible. Other commitments include a renewed Scottish economic promise, better suited to the principles of fair work, a new learning network and an international summit on fair work. We are committed to building on this strong commitment and have developed a fair working agreement between Scottish ministers and recognised public service unions. The agreement contains a number of principles for the implementation of labour and labour relations, in accordance with the principles set out in the Fair Labour Convention. The agreement demonstrates its commitment that the Scottish governing bodies are employers for fair work and that they have committed themselves to constantly seeking to improve policies and practices in this area.
